A Statement from Anna Batista on PPS Contracting

“As I’m speaking to neighbors in the remaining days before the primary election, I’ve been asked about the press coverage of the Superintendent. I am troubled by the recent allegations of improper contracting. We must take care to review all the facts and not rush to judgement unfairly, so I support a thorough investigation to understand what occurred.”

Smart Decisions. Smart Schools.

Anna Batista is running for School Board in District 4 because she wants to make the Pittsburgh Public Schools as great as possible. She is a Colfax mom, graduate of the Carnegie Mellon Heinz School of Public Policy, and data analysis expert who uses evidence to build better communities.

Our public school students deserve solutions that are proven to work.

District 4 encompasses most of Squirrel Hill, parts of North Oakland, Point Breeze, Point Breeze–Park Place, parts of Shadyside, and parts of Regent Square.
